I'm contributing to someone's website (or creating my own) and don't know what I need to do to protect it.

It's a difficult situation when you want to distribute (and hopefully profit from) things you've created, but also want to protect yourself against others using it without your permission (the dreaded "cut and paste" or "view code" trick). But it doesn't have to be.

From simple copyright notices to registering copyrights to having agreements with individuals and companies you may be writing for, protecting your intellectual property is a smart idea and doesn't have to be expensive. Contact us for more information about protecting your online work.
